I Love, love L.A. Colors nail polish. I think there great. They have a nice brush and come in interesting colors.
I wanted to do something simple. So I did french tips for the first time the other day.
They look alright for my first time. If I do say so myself. 
I used Revlons Gel Nail Hardener as my base coat. Which I plan on doing a review on at a later time. After I have used it for a little while. I used two L.A. Colors nail polishes from the Color Craze collection. In Mega Watt (very nude color with very underlying shimmer) and Energy Source (white) for the french nail itself. Then used Nailenes Top Coat, which is actually alright for a fairly cheap top coat.
I did used those stickers that you stick to your nail to create the smile of the tip. I know Nailene and Sally Hansen both make them. They were useful, even more so since I never did it before. I do think however learning to put the smile on by yourself looks even cleaner and better once you get use to it.
